Contra Dances
On certain evenings throughout the summer we hold contra dances in the studio building. Come enjoy the music and professionally called dancing!
Croquet
Guests are welcome to use our croquet set any time. It can be set up on the lawn next to the rock gardens, and is the perfect activity for families looking to enjoy a sunny afternoon at the Inn.
Kayaking
Kayaks are available for our guests to use every day. We have two single kayaks and one two-person kayaks. Use of our kayaks is limited to the cove and the immediate surrounding coastline, but guests are also welcome to bring or rent kayaks if they want to explore further afield.
Massage
Book massages (from Satori Massage Therapy) once per week at the Inn. Please check the schedule at the front desk and sign up accordingly.
Ping Pong
Kids and adults alike enjoy a good game of ping pong. The table is available in the studio building anytime there isn't an art workshop going on, and paddles and balls can be procured from the front desk.
Swimming Pool
Our fresh-water swimming pool is kept warm and ready for use all summer long. While we are close to several beaches, sometimes you just want to stay close to your cottage and relaxing by the pool on a sunny day is exactly what you're looking for.
Golf
Sebasco Harbor Resort has a well maintained 9 hole golf course (which can be doubled for 18 holes. Clubs and carts are available for rental at the Pro Shop. Reservations for tee times can be made at the front desk of the Inn.
Health Club
Guests at Rock Gardens Inn are welcome to use Sebasco's gym with a guest pass. The gym contains weights, cardio machines, a sauna, and changing rooms.
Harbor
Guests are welcome to explore Sebasco's dock and harbor. Tours, moorings, and boat rentals are all available from the Dock House, found out on the dock itself.
Recreation Center
Sebasco's Quarterdeck offers guests a variety of entertainment options, including candlepin bowling, ping pong, pin ball, pool, air hockey, foosball, and basketball. Open most evenings.
Swimming Pool
With a pass, guests of Rock Gardens Inn are welcome to use Sebasco's salt water pool. Sun warmed and olympic sized, the pool can be a closer alternative to the beach.
Anna's Water's Edge Restaurant
With fresh seafood caught in Casco Bay daily, and other classic Maine dishes, Water's Edge is the epitome of coastal Maine dining.
Cooley Preserve Hiking Trails
252 acres including ponds, brooks, pools, ledges, and peaceful glades.
Fort Popham
A unique construction on Popham Beach linking the old and the new.
Fort Baldwin
The view from this historic site is worth the climb.
Head Beach
A cozy beach nestled by Hermit Island, where you can catch the sun and the waves.
Hike up to Robinson's Rock
Take a fairly easy 30 minute hike up to Robinson’s Rock. Take a picnic lunch and enjoy the view overlooking the islands of Casco Bay.
The Lobster House
Overlooking the water in Small Point, the Lobster House is a local summer favorite for lunch and dinner.
Morse Mountain Conservation Area
Detour up the hill for spectacular views from the top of Morse Mountain, or head straight for beautiful Seawall Beach at the end of the trail.
Phippsburg Historical Museum
Put together by the local historical society, this museum tells the story of Phippsburg from early Native American artifacts up to 1980.
Popham Beach
One of Maine’s most picturesque State Parks, with rocks, powdery sand, and surf.

Offering collections of Decorative Arts, Paintings, Sculpture, and Works on Paper. Located in Brunswick.
Chocolate Church Arts Center
Housed in a 1847 Gothic revival church, the Chocolate Church Arts Center in Bath has been offering music, theater, and visual arts shows to the local community for over 32 years.
Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens
Located in Boothbay, the 250 acre Botanical Gardens include formal gardens, stonework, waterfalls and ponds, antique stone walls, and waterfront views.
Freeport
The spot for outlet shopping in Maine. Make a day of it and eat at any number of fine dining establishments in the Freeport area.
Main Street Bath
Lined by historic buildings, and offering a variety of local shops, restaurants, and services, Main Street in Bath is a frequent destination for our guests.
Maine Maritime Museum
Located on the Kennebec River. Regularly changing exhibits, boats, art, history and exploration. Many boat tours are available, including the Bath Iron Works, Lighthouse, and Kennebec Cruises.
Maine State Music Theater
Celebrating it's 40th year of live musical theater, Maine State Music Theater, located in Brunswick, is a great place to catch Broadway and Off Broadway Musicals without leaving the state of Maine.
