Notes from the Innkeeper
It has been a quiet winter in Sebasco Estates. After getting over a foot of snow early in the winter, at this writing in early February the ground is bare and we rarely see temperatures over 20 degrees. Fortunately we did a lot of trimming in the fall, and the gardens have a thick layer of branches to protect them from the ground freezing and thawing without a blanket of snow.
I
hope that you have had a chance to check out our new blog at www.rockgardensinnblog.com.
We have been updating the site with new photos, and you can see
the winter solstice sunset, and the grounds covered with snow
in early January. We welcome, and encourage, your comments. We
debated long and hard about a Facebook page, and in the end decided
to do one for our art workshops. If you are interested you can
find a link on our website and blog, or you can search Facebook
for Art Workshops at Rock Gardens Inn.
One more year until Rock Gardens Inn celebrates 100 years in business! When you come this summer please feel free to share your memories and ideas for this special occasion.
See you this summer!
Ona Barnet, Innkeeper
Art Workshops
The art workshops
continue to be a tradition at Pock Gardens, the artist weeks mingling
with the non-art guests. What a treat to see the painters spread
out across the grounds! This year we welcome back David Pena,
Carl Schmalz, Karen ONeil and Peter Clapper, David Kapp, and Lois
bodd. We are pleased to introduce David Dewey and Frank Webb.
